Thirteen month old Mikkah Edwards has died from serious injuries inflicted by his father. Ryan Edwards, 34, is accused of beating his son. Mikkah suffered severe brain injury, a fractured skull and severe brain damage.
Mikkah's mother, Toni Brown returned home from work on Friday, January 27, to find her son unresponsive. Mikkah was taken to an urgent care facility, but was transferred to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston because of the seriousness of his injuries. He was taken off life support on Monday evening. Little Mikkah is survived by his mother.
