Myrtle Skinner Lipscomb, 82, of Concord, died Sunday April 28, 2002 following a short illness. She was the wife of Warren M. "Buck" Lipscomb for 60 years.

Born December 2, 1919 in Campbell County, she was a daughter of the late Edward Frank Skinner and Maude Inge Skinner, and was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank Russell Skinner and Nathan Wayne Skinner.

Mrs. Lipscomb was the office manager for the Lynchburg Livestock Market for 40 years before her retirement, and was a member of the Bible Student Association.

In addition to her husband Buck, she is survived by a sister, Margaret A. Skinner; a sister-in law, Nellie Skinner; 2 nieces, Carolyn Hutchinson and her husband Larry, and Phyllis Brewer and her husband Richard; 2 grand-nieces, Vickie Coleman and Jennifer Kelley and her husband Kevin, and their son Wyatt; and a grand-nephew, Frank Hutchinson.

A Memorial Service was held at 1:00 p.m. Friday May 3, 2002 at Whitten Park Ave. Chapel, with the Rev. David Hauke officiating, after which the family received friends.
