A memorial celebration for the Rev. Richard A. Waldron, 1427 College Drive, who died Tuesday, will be held at the First Christian Church of Hastings, Neb., on Friday at 2 P.M. Private family graveside services are scheduled for Friday Morning in the Parkview Cemetery in Hastings.

Mr. Waldron was pastor of the First Christian Church in Emporia for eight years until July 1983, when he moved to the First Christian Church in Lawton, Okla. He retired in may 1984 and returned to Emporia in August. Mr. Waldron had cancer.

The son of Lloyd Raymond and Elizabeth Rothfuss Waldron, Richard Allen Waldron was born Jan. 1, 1930, in Adams County, Neb. He married LaVon Ellen Marsh on Nov. 6, 1949, at Hastings.

Mr. Waldron was a minister in Christian (Diseiples of Christ) Churches for 35 years. He was minister in churches in Nebraska, Oklahome and Kansas.

He attended the University of Nebraska and Cotner College, both in Linclon, Nebr., and graduated from Phillips University in Enid Okla. He did postgraduate work at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City.

Mr. Waldron was a member of several ministerial alliences and numerous civic clubs in the communities in which he served He was a member of the First Christian Church in Lawton.

Mr. Waldron is survived by his wife of the home; four sons, Richard E. Waldron of Juniata, Nebr., Kenneth A. Waldron of Lincoln, Nebr. , Bryant L. Waldron of Riverton, Wyo., and Gary D. Waldron of Emporia' three brothers, The Rev. LaMoime Waldron of Kansas City, Mo., Donald Waldron of Denver, and Eldon Waldron of Littleton, Colo.; His Mother, Elizabeth Waldron of Juniata, Nebr., and seven grandchildren. His father died earlier.

Emporia memorial contributions may be made to the Fdirst Christian Church here and may be sent to Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, which is in charge of local arrangements.

Livingston-Butler-Volland Funeral Home in Hastings is in charge of arrangements there.
