Fanny M. Aldrich, 98, a resident of Lacey, WA for the past 6 years, and former Centralia resident, died Jan. 13, 2003 at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia.

She was born May 1, 1904 in Olympia to Charles L. and Sarah L. (Brown) Knapp. Her family moved to Everett when she was a small child. They later lived in Eastern Washington before moving to Toledo, WA in 1920. Mrs. Aldrich graduated from Toledo High School. She moved to Centralia in 1947, living here until moving to Lacey in 1996.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Centralia and a member of the Primrose Club of Lewis County. In earlier years she and her husband, Henry enjoyed camping and traveling. She also enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles, needlework and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry G. Aldrich on Aug. 21, 1981 and by a brother, Earl Knapp.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, Jan. 17 at 2:00 p.m. at Claquato Cemetery under the direction of Sticklin Funeral Chapel. Dr. John Haberlin will officiate.
