Mary was daughter of the late William and Susan Murray Meehan. Later, she moved to Kingston. She attended local schools and graduated from Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre. She formerly was employed by Pennsylvania Power & Light Co., Wilkes-Barre. Later, she was associated with her husband and son, who operate the Hugh P. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, Kingston. She was a member of St. Ignatius Church, Kingston, and its Altar & Rosary Society. She was a former member of Bishop O'Reilly High School's Mothers Club. Surviving are her husband, Hugh P.; a son, Philip J., Kingston; daughters Mrs. Joseph (Mollie) McHale, Dallas; Mrs. James (Suzanne) Paddock, Swoyersville; Mrs. Michael (Sally) Quinn; Haddon Heights, N.J.; Ruth E., Rosemont; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
