Virgie D. Lawler

Virgie D. Lawler, 90, a resident of the Anacortes area since 1924, died at Island Hospital June 12, 1972.

Mrs. Lawler was born August 7, 1881 in Missouri. She was a member of the Eagle's Auxiliary in Anacortes and a Past Mother of the lodge. She was also active in the Church of Christ.

Previous to her death, she had resided with her daughter, Mrs. Andrew Bodnar, of 816-5th Street, Anacortes. Additional survivors include three other daughters: Mrs. Fred Wiggins of Seattle, Mrs. Chet Livingston of Tacoma, Mrs. Bill Myers of Kennewick; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She also leaves four sisters: Mrs. Pearl Moody, Mrs. Langford White, and Mrs. Floyd Poor, all of Anacortes, and Mrs Ed White of Yakima.

Funeral services have been set for Thursday, June 15, 1 p.m. at Bryson Chapel, Don Hardenbrook officiating. Interment will follow at Grand View Cemetery.

It is suggested that memorial contributions could be made to the Church of Christ building fund.
