Mrs. Clinnie Lolene Gammons Hall, 86 of Mt. Airy passed away at Twelve Oaks
Assisted Living on Monday, February 3, 2014. She was born in Surry County on
June 5, 1927 to the late George and Sallie Frances Johnson Gammons. She was a
loving mother, grandmother and friend. Mrs. Hall is survived by two daughters,
Mary Stevens and husband Randy, Diana Brannock and fiancé, Berman Leftwich all
of Mt. Airy; two sons and daughters-in-law, Delmer Hall and Joan of Mt. Airy and
Luther Hall, Jr. and Diane of Riverview, FL; grandchildren, Jan Weddle of Mt.
Airy, Karen Lankford and Jamie of Mt. Airy, Sandra Love and Jerry, Mt. Airy;
Daniel Hall of Mt. Airy, Chad Hall and Melanie of FL, Trent Stevens and Melanie
of Kernersville, Stephen and Lindsey Portis of Mt. Airy, Luke Stevens and Donna
of Mt. Airy, Beth Williams and Joseph of Mt. Airy, and Michael Portis of Mt.
Airy, Tammy and Skip Athey of FL, Greg and Dannah Moore of FL and Jimmy and
Kathy Moore of FL; nineteen great grandchildren and great grand baby Portis due
in August; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Hall was preceded in death by
her husband, Luther Martin Hall, Sr., four sisters, Vadie Hall, Ida Martin,
Addie France and Gracie Hall and two brothers, Rev. Bill Gammons and Elery
Gammons. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, February 7, 2014 at
Moody Funeral Home Chapel. The service will be conducted by Rev. Tommy Floyd and
Rev. Ron Hall. Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will
receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
The family would like to express their appreciation to Twelve Oaks and Mountain
Valley Hospice for the care and compassion shown to Mrs. Hall during her
illness.
