He was born in Surry County on March 7, 1928, to the late Arthur and Maggie Lawson Beasley.
He retired from Centel Telephone Company and was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Mt. Airy.
Mr. Beasley is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Michael Orders; grandchildren: Michael Robert Orders, Jr., and John Clifton Orders and wife, Amanda; sisters: Dot Brannock, and Anna Belle Hodges; a brother and sister-in-law, Marvin and Glenda Beasley; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Beasley was preceded in death by his wife, Vernell Joyce Beasley; a sister and two brothers-in-law: Ruby and Jim Pruitt, and Ben Brannock; and brothers and sister-in-law: Claude Beasley and Clarence and Juanita Beasley.
There will be a graveside service at 2:00 PM, at Skyline Memory Gardens on Monday, December 28, 2020, with the Rev. Jay Meadows officiating.
