William George Mitchell died at home Dec. 9, 2011 after a brief battle with cancer.
George was born Sept. 26, 1953 to Mildred Routon Mitchell and William Harold Mitchell.
He grew up in La Junta and lived in Texas and Colorado Springs. He was a plumber and enjoyed fishing, sports, and the company of his friends.
He is survived by sisters: Lorena and Vera Mitchell, nephew Stephen Breiby, girlfriend Lolli Wood and dog LeRoy.
A private memorial service will be held Dec. 20 in Colorado Springs.
