Deborah Kay Jones, of Rocky Ford, CO passed away, November 16, 2011. She went peacefully in her home with her family by her side. She was born April 23, 1950 in Pueblo, CO to Elmer and Audrey Manweiler. She was 61 years of age.
Deborah is survived by her husband of 39 years, Richard Jones of Rocky Ford, Children; Tim Jones of La Junta, Cynde Jones of Rocky Ford, and Melissa (Chris) Kaufman of Colorado Springs, mother, Audrey Manweiler of Ordway, grandchildren; Cody Jones, Morgan and Rebecca Hight, sister, Gayle (Robert) Gribble of Ordway, brother, Dean Manweiler of Tulsa, OK.
She was preceded in death by her father, Elmer Manweiler and brother, Terry Manweiler.
Debbie was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who always looked forward to the holiday season and spoiling her family. She loved to take charge of projects, and wasn't afraid to give her opinion; she was "The Boss". She was caring and compassionate with everyone she met, and was never judgmental. She was always a friend when you needed one. She never took sides, and was always a good listener. She will be greatly missed, and always loved.
A memorial service will be held, Monday, November 21, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Rocky Ford. Pastor Rick Miller will be officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Johnson-Romero Family Funeral Home.
