BECKETT-STEINBACH
(Contributed.)
A merry wedding party drew up at the Methodist parsonage in Clarence last Sunday afternoon at 2:30 for the purpose of effecting a combination by which two could be transformed into one. The transformer was in waiting and the services of the pastor, Rev. W. N. Giddens, were brought into requisition, when Charles W. Beckett of Shelbina and Miss Irene Steinbach of Shelbyville were united in the holy bonds of matrimony.
The groom is an enterprising and prosperous farmer living 3 1/2 miles northeast of Shelbina, while the bride the beautiful and accomplished daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jule Steinbach, who live 2 1/2 miles southwest of Bethel.
The bridal couple were accompanied by two of their very delightful friends, Mr. Lyle Holderieath and Miss Lura Lee Robertson, also of the Bethel neighborhood.
A jollier bunch of folks we seldom meet, and some of us who have felt the burdens, hardships and disappointments of life, might almost be tempted to envy them the happy, joyous spirit which they possessed. May the sun ever shine as brightly, the breezes blow as softly and the flowers bloom as sweetly for them as they do now.
They will make their future home on the farm belonging to the groom where the best wishes, of their many friends will attend them through life.
