Regional Hospital on Friday, Dec. 29, 2000,
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan, 2, 2001, at Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev, Ron Meador officiating, Burial was in Bailey Cemetery,

Born on Oct. 5, 1921, in Bailey, she was a daughter to Oscar Franklin and Maggie Pearl (Archer) Davis, She had lived in the Marlow area all her life, She was a housewife and attended Vimy Ridge Baptist Church in Rush Springs.

She and Elton Whitehead were married in Marlow on Nov. 6, 1936. He died on Feb. 8, 1978.

She also was preceded in death by three sons, Lloyd Whitehead, Floyd Whitehead, and Clinton Franklin Whitehead.

Survivors include four daughters and two sons-in-law, Claudine Manning of Liberty, Mo., Wanda and Phil Morrison and Rebecca and Don Nix, all of Duncan, and Linda Peddycoart of Marlow; two
sons and danghters-in-law, Elton
Lee and Sue Whitehead and Roger
and Lil Whitehead, all of Marlow; four sisters, Bernice Overly of Lubbock, Tx., Loda Green of Marlow, Tommie White of Rush Springs, and Mary Newsome of Duncan; four brothers, Oscar Franklin Davis and Pascal Lee Davis, both of Eureka, Calif, Bobby Davis of Lubbock, and Ronnie Davis of Malvern, Ark.; 19 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers were James Green, Richard Green, Buddy Morrison, Jerimy Peddycoart, Tim Whitehead, and Don Cunningham.
