She was born Dec. 29, 1965, in Salem, Ohio, the daughter of late Larry and Martha Lou (Whinnery) Herman.
Lori was employed at Ben's Restaurant for nine years; Pizza Hut in Austintown as assistant manager for 13 years and Shillings Mill as a bartender. She was a 1984 graduate of Salem High School.
She enjoyed puzzles, quilting, flower gardening and especially spending time with her family. She was extremely fond of her dogs, Dante, Sara, Jordan and the late Buster.
Survivors include three daughters, Lindy B. Young, Tara L. Young and Stephanie L. Young, all of Berlin Center; a son, David O. Young of Berlin Center; two sisters, Pamela (Larry) Brewer of Green, Ohio, and Kelly (Jak) Filsky of Hanoverton; and two brothers, Glenn (Nancy) Herman of Spokane, Wash., and Thomas Herman of Hatfield, Pa.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 13, 2012, at the Stark Memorial Funeral Home in Salem with the Rev. Russell Libb of the Berlin Center United Methodist Church officiating.
Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Hope Cemetery in Salem.
