RITES FOR MARY BRANDO
Funeral services were held Friday at Blackmore
and Tubbs Chapel for Mrs. Mary Brando, age 77
years,who passed away at her home January 12 after
a long illness of complications.
Rev. C. F. Edferton of Hillman officiated and
burrial was in West Dayton Cemetery.
Mary Elizabeth Wall was born in Canada October 16,
1865
1862. Her father was the third
in the township. She saw
Canada October 16, 1865, the daughter
of George and Mary Wall, and
was married in September, 1889 to
Abram Brando who preceded her in
death March 26, 1914. Also one
daughter, Mrs. Amy Obarowsk having
passed on in May, 1927.
Left to mourn her loss are three
daughters, Mvs, Frank Schafer and
Mrs, Izola Goetz of Mayvilie and
Mrs, Bertha Schafer of Howell; one
son, R. J, Brando of Ypsilanti; ten
grandchildren; fojur sisters, Mrs.
Sadie Duncan of Detroit, Mrs, Anna
Alverson of Grand.'Rapids, Mrs. Amy:
Robinson of Millington and Mrs.:
Martha Vodd'en of Vassar; two brothers,
Saford Wall of Mayvilie'
and Frank Wall of Mt. Morris,
She was a kind and loving mother
and leaves a host of friends. She
was a member of the Baptist church.
She is not: dead. but sleepeth,
Luke 8;52.
