ROCK FALLS - Gerald J. Albert, 69, of Rock Falls, died Monday, Feb. 6, 2012, at Transitions Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Rock Falls. He was a machine operator at RB&W/Reliant for 20 years.
He was born Jan. 29, 1943, in Rockford, the son of Gerald E. and Mary R. (Green) Albert. He was a 1961 graduate of Rock Falls High School. He enjoyed playing the guitar, building model cars and repairing watches. Jerry was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed watching wrestling.
He is survived by a daughter, Tammy (Rich Paulson) Wheeler of Briggsville, Wis.; and a brother, Jack (Kathy) Albert of Phoenix.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m., followed by the funeral at 11 a.m., Saturday at McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls, with the Rev. Les Funderberg, pastor of First Open Bible Church, officiating. Burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park in Sterling.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
