HENRY LEE BAGGETT
Henry Lee Baggett,55, 401 South 25th Street, died at 11 p.m. in a local hospital Sunday, following a short illness.
Funeral services will be held at Butler Chapel, with the Rev. J. B. Collier officiating. Burial will be in Forrest Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be T. W. Johns, Arthur Vinson, Carlton Thomas, J. W. Gentry, W. D. Messer and Paul Barnes.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and all personal friends.
Mr. Baggett is survived by his wife, Mrs. Martha James Baggett; six sons, Jerry and Jack Baggett, New Orleans, La., Johnny Baggett, Houston, Tex., Wesley Baggett, Mobile, and Jan Baggett, U.S. Navy; six daughters, Misses Sherry and Mary Baggett, New Orleans, Miss Martha Baggett, Hollywood, Mrs. Peggy Logan and Miss Frances Bagget all of Gadsden; three step-daughters, Mrs. Marquerett Woodham, Bennettsville, S.C. and Mrs. Virginia Brakefield and Mrs. Evelyn McWaters, both of Chester, S.C., one stepson, L. B. Nixon, Bennettsville, S. C. and 22 grandchildren.
A native and lifelong resident of Gadsden, Mr. Baggett was an electrician with Erwin Electric Company. He was a member of the Methodist Church.
The body will remain at Collier-Butler through the hour of service.
