STATESBORO - Mr. James Roberts, age 67, passed on Monday, December 11, 2006, at the East Georgia Regional Medical Center. The native of Hollywood, Fla., lived in Statesboro the last several months. Mr. Roberts was born to the late Anna Scott and Frank Roberts Sr. in Screven County, Ga.
He is survived by a loving wife, Annie Owens Roberts of Statesboro; a son, Aubrey Owens (Tiffany); three stepchildren, Leila Jackson, Earlean Lewis (James) and Eddie Jackson (Gloria); sister, Betty Ivy, Springhill, Ala.; a brother, Joe Roberts, Port St. Lucy, Fla.; several step grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Ben Samuel Hill Chapel of Hill's Mortuary, Inc. with the Rev. Frankie L. Owens officiating. Burial will be in the Eastside Cemetery.
