Robert George Adams, age 95, passed away on October 29, 2014, at Memorial Hermann-Southwest Hospital.

He was born on the 27th of July, 1919 in Safford, Arizona.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Jimmie Ann Brown, and her husband, Jerome Brown; his grandson, Adam Brown and his wife, Kristi; his grandson, Alex Brown and his wife, Celeste; and his great-grandchildren: Allie, Anna, John Banks, Catherine, and Alexis Brown.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ann Hill Adams. His high school education was interrupted by the loss of his father and the necessity for him to support his family.

He became a lithographer by trade and was a member of the Amalgamated Lithographers of America until his retirement.

He is remembered as a loving and involved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

His favorite activities included watching his grandchildrens' and great grandchildrens' sports activities, reading Texas history, cooking barbecue, and reminiscing about his years in West Texas and Houston Heights.

He is greatly loved by his family and friends and will be remembered as a man of integrity, honesty, and kindness.

His memorial service is to be conducted at 4:30 in the afternoon on Tuesday, November 4, in the chapel of Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway in Houston, where the Rev. Samuel Todd, assisting priest of Palmer Memorial Episcopal Church, is to officiate.

Immediately following the service, the family will greet friends during a reception to be held at Brookside Funeral Home.

In lieu of customary remembrances, contributions in memory of Mr. Robert George Adams may be directed to the charity of one's choice.
