She was born July 21, 1961, in Cody, the seventh child of Georgia and Harold Close. Tamie lived her entire life on the banks of the Clarks Fork of the Yellowstone River with her mother and caregiver for 50 years.

She is survived by sister-in-laws Virginia (Chuck's wife) of Fresno, Calif., and Bonnie (Jerry's wife) of Walla Walla, Wash., brothers Glen (Dana) of Eatonville, Wash., Bart of Frenchtown, Mont., Roy (Ronda) of Billings, Tom (Norma) of Powell, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Tamie was preceded in death by her father Harold, mother Georgia, brothers Charles "Chuck" Close and Jerald "Jerry" Close.

Family are thankful for Tamie, throughout her life she inspired them and provided many lessons of compassion and encouragement to be her voice for those who are confined by their disabilities, but not by grace.

They thank her case manager Deb Spence and Ayda Hammen along with her caring staff at Heart Mountain Health for their giving of themselves over the past several years.
