WOLFE, JUDSON (JUD) -- Aged 83, Ohiopyle, died in his home, Saturday afternoon, October 19, 1957, following an extended illness. Born in Preston County, W. Va., August 22, 1859, he was the son of the late Adam and Harriett Street Wolfe. He was a retired lumberman and had resided in Ohiopyle and vicinity for the past seventy years. He was a member of the Ohiopyle Methodist Church and the I.O.O.F. lodge 499 for fifty years. He is survived by two sons, David A., Mill Run, John M., Connellsville and one daughter, Miss Isabella H. at home; three grandchildren; one brother, Jesse C., Dunbar, R.D. 2 he was predeceased by his wife, Catherine Morrison Wolfe, November 11, 1948. Friends are being received in the residence, Ohiopyle, where prayer service will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m., followed by additional rites in the Ohiopyle Methodist Church at 2 p.m., with Rev. Smith Hixson officiating. Interment will be in Christ Lutheran Cemetery, Chalk Hill, under the direction of the Brooks Funeral Home, Connellsville.
