From 1987 until his death, Robert was an Associate Professor of Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering, and Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, at the
University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign Urbana, Illinois.

Received numerous teaching awards and acknowledgements.

He was researcher and director of the Aerothermal Simulations Lab. His research had been supported by agencies including AFOSR, NASA, the Air Force Rocket Propulsion Laboratory and others.

He also served extensively as a consultant to government and industry, both nationally and internationally.

Robert was the author of numerous publications in his field.

Death due to carcinoma of the lung.
