Howard Roland Cashwell Jr., 63, of Nashville, TN, formerly of Hinton, died Friday, August 25, 2006 at the home of his son at Franklin, TN, following a long illness.
Born December 28, 1942 at Newport News, VA, he was the son of Howard R. Cashwell Sr. of Hinton and the late Mary Alice Lowry Cashwell. Howard was a Disabled U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam Conflict, a graduate of Wake Forest University, a homemaker, a faithful member and former Sunday School Teacher at the Hinton Church of Christ and an avid Hallmark Ornament Collector.
Preceded in death by his former wife, Sue Johnson Cashwell.
Besides his father, he is survived by one son, Christopher Cashwell and wife Sabrina of Franklin, TN; three grandchildren, Christopher Logan, Landon Gray and Lucas Bennett Cashwell; one brother, James Lee "Jimmy" Cashwell and wife Judy of Jacksonville, FL and his stepmother, Gert Blankenship Cashwell of Hinton.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday August 31, 2006 at the Hinton Church of Christ with John McCain, Minister, officiating. Burial will follow in the Restwood Memorial Gardens at Hinton. Friends may call at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors in Hinton from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday and at the church one hour prior to services.
