SPRINGFIELD TWP.- Edwin P. Heaton, 61, of 985 Krumroy Rd., died Aug. 23 at the residence after a long illness.
He was born in East Palestine and had lived in the Akron area for 33 years. Mr. Heaton was employed with Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company since 1946, and was an army veteran of World War II.
He is survived by wife Betty; sons, Dane Bradley Jr., Edwin P. Jr., Douglas E., Terry W., and Scott O., all of Akron; nine grandchildren; brothers, Samuel T., of East Liverpool, Gerald L., of Lakemore; sisters, Mamie Guy, Verna Brown, Margaret May, all of East Palestine, Eunice Weikart, Columbiana; several nieces and nephew.
Funeral services Monday, 1 p.m. from the Hopkins UNIONTOWN Funeral Home, 3553 Northdale St., one block northwest of the square of 619 and Cleveland Av., Rev. Ernest Bloom officiating. Burial East Liberty Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home, 2 to 4 p.m. SATURDAY, 7 to 9 p.m. SUNDAY. (Hopkins)
