Dorothy Jackson, 93, of Birdseye, died at 9:05 p.m. , Friday, March 23rd at The Waters of Huntingburg nursing center. A native of Birdseye, born January 8th, 1910, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Ford Nelson.
She was a former nurses aid at Stork Memorial Hospital in Huntingburg and a former postmaster for the town of Birdseye. She was a member of Birdseye Order of Eastern Star and Anderson Valley Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Jackson, a daughter, Jamie Beth Judge, and five brother and sisters.
Survivors include a brother, Jack Nelson of Birdseye; two grandsons and two great-grandchildren.
