I am told by a man who identified himself as her nephew that she was the daughter of Julian Bilski and his wife Rosalie Witkowska, who immigrated in 1909 from Bromberg, Germany (now Bydgoszcz, Poland). Julian Bilski's petition for citizenship lists his children, and there is a daughter Marianne (Mary) with the same birthdate as that of Lucile. In the 1920 Census, she is still listed as Mary. I find no further records for Mary. In 1930, Lucile M. Brooks, age 25 has been married 4 years to Samuel J. Brooks and has two children. She was born in a part of Germany that is now in Poland, and immigrated in 1909. Further, a sister-in-law of Samuel Brooks surnamed Bilski is living with the family. I conclude that Lucile M. Brooks and Mary Bilski are the same woman, with Marianne/Mary using the name Lucile M. as an adult.
