BLOUNTVILLE, Tenn. — William Jackson Roberts, 59, of Blountville, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Feb. 10, 2012, at his home.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
He was the son of the late Louis and Lorene Nelson Roberts.
Survivors include his daughter, Nicole Roberts of Kingsport; son, Chris Roberts of Ohio; four grandchildren; three sisters, Tinker Marlow, Judy Taylor and Karen Roberts; four brothers, Lawrence Roberts, Lewis Roberts Jr., Jerry Roberts and Jeff Roberts; along with several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012, at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 520 Watauga Street, Kingsport. The funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. in the chapel with the Rev. Jack Edwards officiating.
Military graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, at Mountain Home National Cemetery, Mountain Home, Tenn., conducted by the American Legion Hammond Post No. 3 and Gate City Post No. 265. American Legion Honor Guard will be pallbearers. Those attending are asked to meet at the cemetery at 12:55 p.m.
Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport, is serving the Roberts family.
