OBITUARY :
M. PAULINE DIEHL, 81, of Roxbury Road, Shippensburg, died Saturday, February 11, 2012 in the Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Chambersburg.

Born Thursday, November 20, 1930 in Shippensburg, she was a daughter of the late James Herman Sr., and Louetta Heberlig Staver.

Pauline was a member of Memorial Lutheran Church, Shippensburg.

Along with her husband John, they owned and operated the family farm.

She was a 1948 graduate of Shippensburg High School and a member of the Franklin County Farm Women Group # 2. Pauline Loved spending time with her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, mother in-law and will be sadly missed by all.

Surviving is her husband of 61 years, John C. Diehl, four sons, J. Edward Diehl and his wife Joanne, Wayne A. Diehl and his wife Jackie all of Shippensburg, Dennis R. Diehl and his wife Lisa of Chambersburg and Terry L. Diehl and his wife Lorie of Shippensburg, one daughter, Susan M. Wenger and her husband John Eugene of Chambersburg, one sister, Dorothy J. Ilgenfritz of Carlisle and sister in-law Nellie Staver of Shippensburg, 15 grandchildren, four step grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and three step great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Charles J. Diehl who died in 1981, two sisters, Lois McCurdy and Janet Jacobs and one brother, James Herman "Bud" Staver Jr.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 17, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Memorial Lutheran Church, Shippensburg, with the Rev. Dr. Brenda J. Kiser officiating. Burial will be in the Spring Hill cemetery.

A Viewing will be held Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service Friday in the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Memorial Lutheran Church, 34 East Orange Street, Shippensburg, PA 17257.
