5-9-21 Research was done on this memorial per requested edits. I have found a variety of sources that conflict with each other.
"Some account of the family of De Vere, the earls of Oxford, and of Hedingham Castle in Essex - The Family of De Vere" - page 17 "John 7th Earle, son of Alphonso de Vere, a brother of the 6th Earle, born 1313 - succeeded 1331..."

In Magna Carta Ancestry Vol 4 pg 266 there are two references to Sir Alphonso de Vere Erl of Oxford. One is just as typed previously and the other lists him as Alphons de Vere knight. Neither listing has his date of birth or death. See link below:
https://www.google.com/books/edition/Magna_Carta_Ancestry_A_Study_in_Colonial/8JcbV309c5UC?hl=en&gbpv=1&bsq=alphons%20de%20vere
On page 409, listed under Chamberlin, his name is spelled Alphonse De Vere.

In the following books I find other de Vere close relatives but not Sir Alphonso de Vere by any first name variation:
"Plantagenet Ancestry of Seventeenth-Century Colonists" by David Faris; and "The Royal Descents of 900 Immigrants to the American Colonies, Quebec, or the United States" by Gary Boyd Roberts.

A photo of the grave stone was requested but no stone was found. Thank you to Diggery. A very nice description was attached regarding the search for the stone. Please don't request a photo of the grave stone per this explanation:

Problem 1:

Alfonso De Vere 1266-1329. Find A Grave Photo Request.
Unfortunately I have found no trace of any memorial, grave or dedication for Alfonso De Vere in St. Albans Abbey. I have concentrated on internal memorials as external graves of this age would have sunk and be over buried many times in the course of the years.
I contacted the 'Friends of St. Albans Abbey' in my search for a memorial and they in turn contacted the Abbey Archivist without any result. I also visited St. Peter's Church to the south of St. Albans as I was advised that St. Peter's was used as a joint graveyard with the Abbey. Although the Verger at St. Peters was very knowledgeable, he knew of no memorial to Alfonso or the De Vere family as a whole.
In my research I also consulted the Hertfordshire History Society Churchyard Survey of St. Albans Abbey which is primarily of the Churchyard but does contain a list of Monuments recorded in 1912 by W B Gerish including those within the Abbey which are no longer in evidence at the time of the 2011 survey. I also checked 'Memorial Brasses in Hertfordshire Churches' which was published in 1886 and drew on earlier sources for a number of local churches in St. Albans. Neither approach revealed any traces of Alfonso De Vere.
Another problem is that St. Peter's was partially rebuilt in 1799 losing a number of graves and later both St. Albans Abbey and St. Peter's were extensively refurbished by Lord Grimthorpe in the late 19th Century to his own designs. In doing so, I have been told that he removed anything that he did not consider as being suitable for his needs or that fitted in with his designs. Anything left was used as he saw fit in the remodelling.
As such, it appears that there is no grave monument or dedication that can be photographed and I would suggest that the photo request is withdrawn as it is unlikely to be fulfilled.
