Ruth Margaret Horan, 89, of Bedford, died at 6:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 14, 2012, at her residence, surrounded by family and friends.

Born December 23, 1922, in Rushville, IN, she was the daughter of Harry and Florence (Rheil) Euler. She married Francis W. Horan on May 12, 1948, in Rushville, IN. He preceded her in death on December 30, 1999.

She was a homemaker and graduate of Indiana Business College, Columbus, IN and a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Bedford, where she was also a member of the Altar Society. Ruth was a volunteer at the St. Vincent de Paul Society Thrift Store, in Bedford and will be remembered for her generous spirit to people of all walks of life. She was a faithful servant to her church.

Surviving are four sons, Mike Horan, Waukesha, WI; Tim Horan (Susan), Indianapolis, IN; Kevin Horan (Dana), New Castle, IN and Chris Horan, also of New Castle; two daughters, Patia Tolle (Samuel), Homerville, GA and Michele Bohling (Richard), Bedford, IN; fourteen grandchildren, Miranda and Maggie Horan, Waukesha, WI; Bruce Horan (Kisha), New Castle, IN; David Horan (Casey), Stanwood, WA; Daniel Horan (Jaime), Indianapolis, IN; Kevin Horan, Camby, IN; Evan and Aaron Lyall (Danielle), both of New Castle, IN; Adam and Jordan Tolle, Homerville, GA; John, Margaret "Meg", William and Katherine Bohling, all of Bedford, IN; and eleven great grandchildren.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and one daughter-in-law, Beverly Horan.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 16, 2012 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Bedford. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Millhousen, IN.

Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home, Bedford.
The Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be considered to St. Vincent de Paul Building Fund.
