Elaine Simmons was born on January 25, 1919 in Park City, Utah, the 3rd of 11 children (six boys and five girls), of Mary Mair and Willis A. Simmons.

She married Jesse Oliver Pedersen, March 30th, 1935, in Coalville, Utah

Her father Willis died young in 1936 from Pneumonia leaving her mother Mary with 7 children still at home to raise. Elaine and her husband Jess helped her mother and family.

Elaine and Jess had two children Karl and Kathryn.

They spent 62 years together and raised their two children in Park City, Salt Lake, Baker, CA and Murray Utah Later they moved to a new home on 18th East and 7200 South

After her husband Jess passed away in 1997 and her son Karl passed in 2007, Elaine moved to Bountiful in 2003 to be closer to her daughter.

She was a most gracious lady with a sweet personality.

A celebration of Elaine's life will take place on December 26 at the Bountiful 24th Ward Chapel, 720 E. 550 N with a visitation at 10:30 a.m. and funeral service at noon.
