Alice L. Rigg, 74, of Decatur left this world to be with her sweetheart on Valentine's Day at 10:53 p.m. Tuesday (Feb. 14, 2012) surrounded by family.

Alice was born July 12, 1937, in Quincy, the son of Tony and Goldie Bean Meador. She enjoyed watching home decorating shows especially HGTV.

She married Stephen Ray Rigg Jr. on May 29, 1954, in Quincy. He preceded her in death Dec. 23, 2011.

Surviving are her daughter, Sandra (Kenneth) McPherson of Decatur; sons, Stephen Ray (Dawn) Rigg III of Thomasboro; Scott Rigg of Decatur; sister, Linda (Larry) Beebe of Hannibal, Mo.; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one sister.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday in Calvert Funeral Home, Argenta, with the Rev. Kevin Treptow officiating. Visitation will be one hour before services.

Burial will be in Friends Creek Cemetery, Argenta. Memorials: Decatur Memorial Hospital Home Health & Hospice Services.
