Mary Louise Hart, age 97, of Macomb, Illinois, formerly of 2523 Chestnut, Quincy died on Sunday, February 12, 2012 n the McDonough County Hospital, Macomb, Illinois.
She was born January 30, 1915 in Mendon, Illinois, the daughter of Charles and Etta Hess Adair. On May 30, 1930, she married John LeRoy Hart in Quincy. He preceded her in death on November 5, 2003.
She attended Gem City College and was a former member of Payson Road Christian Church in Quincy where she had been a charter member. She taught Sunday School at Payson Road for over 30 years. Mrs. Hart retired after 22 1/2 years with Moorman Manufacturing Company in the credit department. She had volunteered at Blessing Hospital for 20 years and was a member of the Alpha Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star. She is a member of the Maple Avenue Christian Church in Macomb, Illinois.
Survivors include a son, Richard (Jan) Hart, Macomb, Illinois; Ruth Hart, daughter-in-law (widow of Norman Hart), Milan, IL; five grandchildren, Judy (Don) Cochran, Apple Valley, MN; Janet (Tim) Carr, Bettendorf, IA, Rebecca Hart, Macomb, Dr. Brett (Andrea) Hart, Chesterfield, MO, and Richard J. Hart, Wentzville, MO; eight great grandchildren, Lucy, Paul, Courtney, Michael, Grace, Spencer, Jonas, and Landon; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Norman, two sisters, Elizabeth in infancy and Mabel Sparrow, and twin siblings who died at birth, and two brothers, Earl and Oren Adair.
Services: 1:00 pm Tuesday (February 14, 2012) at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with Donnie Case officiating.
