Judith D. Barbour, 68, of Remington, went to be with our Lord at 4:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 15, 2012 surrounded by her family.

She was born June 27, 1943 in Lake County to Richard and Iris (Reiber) Parker.

She married Tony Myers on February 17, 1962. They had 3 children together and later divorced.

She then married Richard Barbour on March 1, 1981. He preceded her in death on December 5, 2008.

Judith grew up in Griffith and the Lake Village area. She then moved to Remington in 1965.

She was a member of the Remington United Methodist Church, Dorcas Club, Order of the Eastern Star, Jasper County Homemakers, and the Lafayette Great Banquet.

Judith was a licensed cosmetologist and had also worked with her husband, Richard, hauling freight for Luck Express for 20 years.

She enjoyed playing cards, traveling, and spending time with her family, friends, and dogs.

Surviving are her children; Beverly Buschman (husband: Robin), Gary Myers (wife: Jennifer), and David Myers (wife: Kristy), Rick Barbour (wife: Darlene), Gary Barbour, Renee Conley (husband: Mike), Karen Thomas (husband: Donald), Alan Barbour (wife: Vickie), and Paula Copenhaver (husband: Mike); 27 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are 3 siblings; Richard Parker (wife: Nancy), Pam Clinard (husband: John), and Roger Parker; a special aunt, Alene Doughty; and her beloved dogs, Barbour, Noodles, Rocky, and Missy.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday, February 17, 2012 at the Remington United Methodist Church, with Order of the Eastern Star service at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Service 11 a.m. Saturday, February 18, 2012 at the Remington United Methodist Church. Pastor Mary van Wijk to officiate. Interment to follow in Remington Cemetery.

Memorial contribution may be made to the American Diabetes Association and the Remington United Methodist Church.
