Noah was the husband of Bessie O. Higley Troxel, and the son of Ephraim Peter Troxel and Susannah Helena Reichard Troxel.

Funeral services were held in Rossville Tuesday, Dec. 24, for Noah Troxel, 82, of near Rossville, who died suddenly Saturday, Dec. 21, of a heart attack.

Mr. Troxel was born Nov. 11, 1881, in Clay township, Carroll county, the son of Ephraim and Suzan (Reichard) Troxel, and was married to Bessie Higley Nov. 23, 1910. She died July, 1922.

He was in the restaurant business and for many years was manager of the Triple-X drive-in on the State street hill in West Lafayette. At one time he served as deputy sheriff in West Lafayette. He was a member of the Lafayette Pentacostal Church of God and was associated with the Rossville Business and Professional People.

At the time of his death he was employed as assistant manager of the Tippecanoe County Home. He lived with his niece, Mrs. Orpha Goslee of near Rossville.

Mr. Troxel is survived by several nieces and nephews, among whom are Mrs. Lucile Magee of Lafayette and Alton Troxel of Gary. Six sisters, and four brothers preceded him in death. Two of these brothers were Daniel Troxel of Mulberry and Edward Troxel of near Rossville.

Burial was in the Dayton cemetery.
