Her father was James Lewis Crabtree (Sept 28, 1889 - Jan 1972).

James was awarded the Purple Heart for wounds received in France during WWI

Married Earl Rufus Aylor in 1942

Was featured in a TV broadcast "The Doll Lady" for providing close to 1,000 free baby dolls and doll clothing to local Community Centers for distribution to needy children at Christmas time.

Berneice worked as a waitress, editor of a Community Newspaper, Home Health Care Provider and was a driver for "Meals on Wheels"

Berneice had three (3) children, Karen Jo Hamberg, Stephen Earl Aylor and Elizabeth (Liz) Payne
