Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Parson Mortuary for Selby F. Harney, 821 N. Gavin, who died Thursday at the age of 71. Rev. Herman E. Surber will officiate and burial will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary after 4:30 o'clock today and before the services Saturday.
Mr. Harney was a former employee of the Glasco Corp. and worked at a service station when he retired in 1962.
He is survived by five sons, James William and Frederick Harney, both of Muncie, Clifford, with the U.S. Air Force in Florida, Selby J., with the Air Force in Texas, and Kenneth, Wichita Falls, Tex.; five daughters, Mrs. Thelma Belt, Mrs. Phyllis Aker and Mrs. Jean Hurst, all of Muncie, Mrs. Maxine Burke, Sharpesville, and Mrs. Doris Martin, Alexandria; 34 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
