Distressing Accident at Creeksville.
Last Sunday at the home of Mr. Mans Johnson near Creeksville his daughter, Emma J., was accidentally killed by Arthur, the nineteen year old son of Mr. Nezzie Davis, one of the county's best citizens.
Young Davis had gone over to the home of Miss Johnson and while in the presence of Miss Johnson, her brother, and perhaps others, her brother took down a loaded pistol and in handling it broke it and it appears Mr Davis took it from him and attempted to close it which evidently caused its discharge, the ball striking Miss Johnson in the body causing almost instant death.
The afflicted families are stricken with grief by reason of this horrible accident. We understand that it is not believed that there was any criminal intent.
