Thomas Clifton Hardesty, 57, of Rt. 5, Owensboro died at his home Sunday [September 28, 1975]. Born in Daviess County, he was employed by J.P. Rusher Construction Co. as an estimator. He was a member of St. Martin Catholic Church, the Rome Holy Name Society and the Knights of Columbus. He was a WW II veteran. Survivors include his wife, Ann Theresa Hardesty; 6 sons, Robert Allen Hardesty of Cleveland, MS, and Joseph Anthony Hardesty, Thomas C. Hardesty Jr., Phillip Martin Hardesty, Benjamin Pius Hardesty and Louis Gerald Hardesty, all at home; 3 daughters, Mary Theresa Hardesty, Rose Mary Hardesty and Ruth Ann Hardesty, all at home; 2 brothers, J. Andrew Hardesty of Whitesville and James Leo Hardesty of Dale, IN; and a sister, Mrs. Robert Wimsatt of Whitesville. Services are at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Martin's Catholic Church. Burial in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation after 6 p.m. today at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home where prayers will be said at 8 p.m. Tuesday.
