Robert E. Albaugh, 71, of Scio, a retired pottery mechanic and owner of serval outstanding harness race horses, died Friday in his home of ah apparent heart attack following a long illness. Mr. Albaugh was born July 25, 1899, in Carroll County.
Surviving are his widow, Mabel; three sons, Kenneth of Scio, Leroy of Cadiz and Glenn of Jewett; four daughters, Mrs. Harold (Freda) Lawthers of Scio, Mrs. Byron (Irma Jane) Thompson of Jewett, Mrs. Joe (Betty) Mahoney of Canton and Mrs. Don (Marianne) Crowl of Sacramento, California; four brothers, Donald of Carrollton, Wayne of Scio, Dean of Wheeling, West Virginia, and Howard of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; one sister, Mrs. Roy (Myrtle) Davis of Rt. 4, Carrollton; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Services were Monday at the Purviance Funeral Home in Scio with Rev. Scott George officiating. Burial was in Kilgore Cemetery.
