KERRVILLE — Eve Bassham, 92, of Kerrville, TX, passed away peacefully on Dec. 4, 2004, at a local care facility.

Mrs. Bassham was born Sept. 19, 1912, in Clarksville, Michigan, to John E. and Ida Buckingham. She was an instructor for the Department of State in the Philippines in the 1940s, and she met her husband Ollis Bassham there. She graduated from the University of Michigan, and practiced law in Michigan. She is a former resident of Largo, FL, and moved to Kerrville three years ago.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; sisters, Hazel Marie Johnson and Mary Flora; and brothers, Ernest Buckingham, Fred Buckingham and George Buckingham.

She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to VistaCare Hospice, 1001 Water St., Suite B-100, Kerrville, TX 78028.

Graveside services and interment will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, 2004, in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in North Manchester, Indiana.
