She spent her life taking care of her family; first her younger brothers and sisters and then her 2 daughters as a single parent and finaly her mother and her sister Florance when she was dying from cancer all the while as a single parent she held down a full time job with the Telephone Comapny. She even helped care for her grandchildren.
Grace worked for US West for over 35 years and had a record of over 25 years of perfect attendence, an accomplisment she was rightfully proud of.
She was an avid reader and Shirley Temple fan. She was a very loving grandmother to her 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Grace A. Clark, 85, died January 21, 2004.

She was born on July 26, 1918 in Victoria, Texas to Fredrick and Sophie (Quebe) Kano, coming to Arizona in 1928.

She worked for U.S. West for 40 years and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and Club 228. She enjoyed traveling, reading, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by daughters, Gloria Simpson and Sandra (Robert) Speakman, sister, Flora Machmer, eight grandchildren, James, Christina, and Lee Sutton; Edward Simpson, III; Robert (Natie), Ronald (Candy), and Michael Speakman, Julie (Brad) Case and ten great grandchildren.

Funeral Service, Monday, January 26, 2004, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 3102 North 18th Avenue. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Hospice of Arizona, 2222 West Northern Avenue, Suite A-100, Phoenix, AZ. 85021. www.almooregrimshaw.com
