Billy Dean Atkins, age 66 of Dover, TN, passed away at his residence Tuesday, October 11, 2011.
Funeral services were held on Friday, October 14, 2011 at 1 p.m., at Anglin Funeral Home, with Revs. Tommy Clendenen and Robert Hargrove officiating. Burial followed at the Hall Cemetery, Indian Mound, TN. Masonic services were held at the Anglin Funeral Home on Thursday, October 13, 2011 at 7 p.m.
Billy was born April 27, 1945 in Dover, TN, son of the late Vernon and Rubye Sexton Atkins. He was a member of The First Chrisian Church and Moriah Grove Lodge #301. Mr. Atkins was retired from Conti Carriers Towboat and worked for the Stewart Co. Highway Department.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn Bogard.
He is his wife, Pat Atkins; daughter, Tammy Carter and husband Chris of Texas; sons, Kevin Atkins, Dover, William Atkins and wife Donna of Dover, Robert Hargrove and wife Sandy of Dover, Kevin Largent and wife Stephanie of Murray, KY; brother, Dalton Atkins, Dover; sisters, Gertrude Riggins and husband Ravon of Dover, Barbara Beasley and husband Jerry of Springville; fifteen grandchildren and three great- grandchildren.
