David Walker Dies After Heart Attack
David James Walker, Sr., 59, did suddenly yesterday afternoon at 3, in his home, 1125 Brackenridge avenue, Brackenridge. following a heart attack. Mr. Walker was resting at the time and died before the arrival of his physician.
He was born in East Deer Township, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Walker and lived his entire lifetime in the East Deer - Brackenridge community. He worked at the Brackenridge plant of Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corporation for several years and prior to that worked at West Penn Steel Company.
He was a member of Brackenridge Methodist Church.
Surviving are his widow: Mrs. Lavina Wolfe Walker, and five daughters: Mrs. Philip (Dorothy) Ekas, Saxonburg; Mrs. Owen Blubaugh, (Ruth), Miami, Fla.; Mrs. Charles (Eleanor) Hoak, Curtisville; Mrs. Jack (Melissa) Linhart, Natrona Heights, and Mrs. Norbert (Agnes) Nickolaus, Natrona Heights. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Anna Roll, New Kensington. His only son, David J. Jr., died on Jan. 19.
Friends are being received at the W. Edward Flick Funeral Chapel, 303 East Sixth avenue, Tarentum, where Rev. O. L. Holley, pastor of Tarentum Free Methodist Church, will conduct services Tuesday afternoon at 2. Burial will be made in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
