Body Of Christie Brought Here

"The remains of Isaac O. Christie will be brought to Reno tonight, and unless word from his mother in Nova Scotia reaches here today, will be interred in the Masonic Cemetery, where his cousin, Officer John Christie, has a lot.
No explanation that is regarded as satisfactory, has yet been sent to this city from Tonopah, where the deceased was shot.
The painters Union at that place saw to the shipping of the body and the organiaztion here will superintend the burial of the unfortunate man.
There will certainly be an investigation in the matter and if it is found as has been stated, that he was killed by a deputy constable, whose action is alleged to have been unjustifiable, there will be a criminal prosecution against the Nye County official who did the shooting.
The deceased was reputed to have been a man of the most mild and likable nature, never seeking trouble or quarrels with any one, and it is a mystery here how any officer would ever find in necessary to shoot him."
