He was a former teacher in the Tucker County schools and was teaching at Whitesville, W.Va. when he suddenly became ill.
He was born at Harman, near Davis, March 3, 1908, the son of Mrs. Stella Raines Cooper and the late Kenneth Cooper.
He is survived by his mother and the following brothers and sister: Mrs. Dan Carke, Columbus, Ohio; Mrs. Franklin McQuilkin, Shepherdstown; Herman C. Cooper, Grafton; Dale Cooper of Fairmont; and Roosevelt and Dean Cooper at home.
Dr. J.F. Hoffman of Harman officiated and interment was made in the Cooper Cemetery.
