Victor David Lee, 82, passed away on Jan. 9, 2012, of natural causes, surrounded by his loving family.

Victor was born Oct. 17, 1929, in Canton, China, the son of Ying Lee and Yee Shee Lee. At age nine he came to the United States and lived in Chicago, Ill., with his family. As an adult he moved to Oakland, Calif., and later to Los Angeles, Calif. In 1959 he married Suyeko Miyagishima and they started their family. They later moved to Ventura, Calif., in 1972 and raised their four children there.

In 1976 Suyeko passed away due to a sudden illness. In 1977 he met and married Catherine Ho, his loving wife of 34 years. In 1996 Victor and Catherine moved to their new home in Kirkland, Wash. Victor was a Korean War Veteran. In 1960 he began his career with the U.S. Post Office, retiring in 1990. He loved to spend time in his garden sharing his fruits and veggies with his friends and family. He was a kind and loving man with a great sense of humor. He charmed those around him and always spoke the unfiltered truth. He will be missed by all of those who loved him.

He was predeceased by his son, David (1998). He is survived by his wife, Catherine Lee of Kirkland, Wash.; children, Bruce Lee (Wanpen) of Valencia, Calif., Clyde Lee ( Lynn) of Ventura, Calif., and Kathy Kimmet (Brian) of Lake Arrowhead, Calif.; grandchildren, Brandon, Brianna, Jacob, Ryan and Alyssa.

A Mass was held on Jan. 12, 2012, at St. Peter Catholic Church, Seattle, Wash., and followed by a graveside service at Holyrood Catholic Cemetery, Seattle, Wash.
