Doris Marjoria Laxton Saddler Bagal was born in Blue Island, Illinois (at home) on June 27, 1919 to William Henry and Florence Avery Laxton. She died January 15, 2012 in Marysville Care Center; Marysville, WA at the age of 92 years 6 months and 18 days. She was the oldest of 12 children and spent the first 75 years of her life in the Chicago area.

She moved to Washington State in December 1994 to be near her son and his family. There she settled in the Lake Stevens area until November 2006 when she moved to Granite Falls, Wa into Village at Granite Falls Assisted Living home. She broke a hip in October 2009 and became a permanent resident of Marysville Care Center, Marysville, WA for the remainder of her life.

Doris attended school through the 8th grade - but continued learning through out her life. During WW2; she worked in defense plants as did many other women. Later she held various jobs during her life time.

She was an active person and always enjoyed being on the go and doing different things. She loved traveling to new places. She and her husband traveled throughout the United States during their 31 years of marriage; visiting most of the 50 states. She really loved Hawaii the most.

She is survived by her son; Ray (Virginia)Saddler Jr., one sister LaVerne(Teri) Lockhart; five grandchildren - Ray Saddler III; Dee (KC) Cummings; Ken Saddler; Donita (Jeffery) Scott and Tanya (Tim) Jackson; 14 great grandchildren - Sarah Pudlas, Miranda Saddler, Melissa (Travis) Maxwell, Ryan Scott, Vikki (Ben) Carpenter, Daniel (Shayla) Mellenberger, Reality Cummings, Curtis Reid, Kaitlyn Reid, Travis Scott, Amanda Jackson, Hayley Scott, Mahhii Cummings and Katy Jackson; 4 great, great grandchildren; Conner Maxwell, McKenna Pudlas, Rhiley and Skylar Carpenter.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three infant siblings, two husbands - Ray Saddler Sr and Adam Bagal; one grandson - William Adam Saddler; two brothers - George and Edward Laxton; five sisters - Gladys Bielawski, Hazel Copoillo, Lillian Dolark, Betty Calvin and Donna Villaneuva.

Doris enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, plastic canvas, gardening; interior decorating and sewing.

The family wishes to express their grateful thanks for the loving care that the nursing staff at Marysvill Care Center gave Doris in the many months she was with them.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on January 21, 2012 in the Weller Funeral Home in Arlington, Wa. Private grave side services will be held at 3:00 PM the same sfternoon in the Arlington Municipal Cemetery, Arlington, Washington.
