Dr. Charles Edgar Burt, my grand uncle, was born 03 June 1876 in Alliance, Stark, OH, and died 01 June 1961 in Sylmar, Los Angeles, CA. He was the son of Sylvester Burt, DD, and Sarah Jane Pierce Burt. His siblings were Homer Pierce, John Elmer, Emma Priscilla, William Andrew, David Sylvester, and Marie Burt. He grew up in Ohio and was an accomplished singer. He first married Evelyn Reese and they were the parents of Virginia Maud Burt. He next married Grace Estelle Kutchin. Dr. Burt was a well known international dentist to Hollywood celebrities and others; among the first to perform cosmetic dentistry. He last married May French Hollander (her first husband was Joseph Hollander who died in 1912) and she survived him. Together they are interred in the Sanctuary of Liberty, Forest Lawn, Glendale, not far from my father, John Burt Parr.
