John D. Ehrlich died Wed. (Apr. 14, 1926) at 11:30 a.m. after being bedfast for the past four weeks. Mr. Ehrlich has been in failing health for the past year. His home is at 465 E. Seventh St. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. from the home and from the Lutheran Church. Interment will be in the Russell cemetary.
John D. Ehrlich was born on the 11th of April 1850 in Tscherbakovka, Russia, where he received baptism in the Lutheran church. At the age of 15, he was confirmed in the same church and at the age of 19, he was married to Marie Altergott who was a true and devoted wife to him until his death.
The year 1899, he came to this country making his home at Wilson and later moving to Russell where he resided until his death. He leaves to mourn his aged widow, four children: Caroline Borell of Wilson; Woldemar of Brighton, CO; Alexander of Jordon, MT; and Karl of Russell; twenty-one grandchildren, and eighteen great-grandchildren. He died on Wed. April 14, 1926. He age was 70 years and 3 days. Funeral services were held yesterday at 2:00 from the home and 2:30 from the church. Services were conducted by Rev. William J. Lind, a grandson of the deceased by marriage.
