Her loving husband, Dr. Kenneth L. Bauman, preceded her in death. She is survived by her children, Barbara (Tom) Finger of Janesville, Kenneth L. Jr. (Gail) of Belleville, Jody (Octavio) Portu of Edina, Minn., and Kim (Robert) Elliott of Bluffton, S.C.; and her grandchildren, Lisa and Jacob Bauman, and Jeffrey and Michael Portu.
Ada attended Milwaukee General Hospital School of Nursing, where she met and married her husband. Together they enjoyed traveling the world, collecting antiques and tending to their roses. Ada was active in many community affairs, as a member of the Wisconsin State Medical Auxiliary, the Lancaster Hospital Auxiliary, and the PEO Sisterhood.
Memorials may be given to the Minnesota Medical Foundation at the University of Minnesota or the Fairview Foundation/Hospice Fund. Ada will be laid to rest at Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minn. A private family memorial service is planned.
